Pastor Verlyn Ratzlaff

Assistant Pastor

Pastor Verlyn began his ministry at Maranatha in December 2002. Previously he served as Youth Pastor in Aldergrove, British Columbia for nine years. During his time there the youth group developed well and grew to over 50 teens.

Verlyn is a 1993 graduate of Canadian Bible College in Regina, Saskatchewan. It was there that he met and married his wife, Carla, who is also a C.B.C. graduate. Verlyn was ordained by the Canadian Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1996.

Verlyn was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in mid-western Canada. He and Carla have been blessed with three wonderful children – Courtney, Conley and Claire. Verlyn’s interests include auto racing, most sports and computers.

Pastor Verlyn believes passionately that “youth matter greatly to our God. Today, youth are looking for answers…they need to know that God loves them and that only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ will they experience the full extent of His love.”

Verlyn’s favorite verses are Jeremiah 29:11, 13 and Romans 8:28.
